Afghan
Afghan is a medium to large map, it's set around a crashed C-130 Hercules in the hills of Afghanistan. The Western part of the map is filled with a series of tunnels and bunkers making this perfect for Sniping, the concrete bunkers are solid cover for snipers so it's hard for Assault rifles and Sub-machine guns to penetrate to bunkers, however it's easy for AC-130's and Chopper Gunners to pierce through the bunkers. The Eastern side of the maps is home to a large cliff where you will find a lot of Snipers firing down into the C-130 Hercules or into the adjacent bunker. Located in the middle of the mountain is a small cave which is normally filled with close quarter battles. There are 3 entrances to the cave but there is 1 main entrance that is perfect for watching over the crashed plane. Existing the cave from the rear exit leads a cat walk that is perfect for flanking your opponent. To the north-east there is another series of bunkers and also a poppy field, there are 3 entrances to this position and it's perfect for holding off enemies in "Team Deathmatch" and "Free for all" game-types. Due to Afghan's circular pattern it's very hard for "campers" to keep there position as there is always for that one way to get into their position. The best way to play this maps is to watch your corners and to aim down your sight at every moment possible. — Captain Hughes Afghan Map Tips
Each side of this rocky desert wasteland is fairly defensible, but given all the narrow entry passages, one good enemy rush can trap you and your team in your base, where you can wind up frantically swatting at multiple enemy flanks. The middle of the map, however, is nice and open, and ruins of an ancient jumbo jet provide ambiance and little cover. But be warned: get caught out in the central area and you're a sniper's dream (especially due to the overlooking bunkers), so either bolt through or take the long way around. While not the most secret-laden map, there are a few tricks an quirks to Afghan that can give you the advantage.
